ROVE McManus has taken a huge leap towards US stardom, having been picked to host a major entertainment special for the powerful ABC network.
... McManus was in New York yesterday rehearsing for the show that will be filmed in Times Square.It will be done in the same studio as he filmed his Rove TV show from last July.
"He has been going backwards and forwards from the US for a while,'' McManus's publicist, Maria Farmer, said.
"He has met the right people and he was invited to host a show for ABC America."
"He is rehearsing, looking out at the snow falling in Times Square.''
The hosting opportunity is a huge coup for McManus and is a major step towards him breaking into the lucrative US TV market.
He has already appeared three times on Jay Leno's top-rating tonight show and developed extensive TV contacts in America since that first appearance in May last year.
