I just started writing a whole lot of mush and then deleted it. starting again now.. you are so bloody lucky to have shared your love with a beautiful lady, im sure you are all the wiser for having done so. I wish you all the best for your future loves and life with some equally beautiful people who are also wonderfully deserving of your companionship, and who will embrace all that you have survived but are yet to encounter. Being in the public eye must be incredibly difficult, yet supportive all at once, in a crazy way. Know that you have the love of many people - even if they are those you have never met - simply because you are in 'tv land'. Hey if you ever have any doubts.. how much do we all love Bert??? You're the new Bert to many younger Aussies.. All the best for your fabulous love filled future - you deserve happiness. we are both 12 yrs old and although we havn't been around too long we still think highly of belinda. when we heard of belinda passing we were very upset but we stopped and thought for a minute of how you might of felt and we didn't think that she would want every one else to be sad. hopefully they will finally find a cure.

Dear Rove McManus & The McManus & Emmett Family,
Im so sorry to hear about your loss. As alot of people are.
Belinda was around as i grew up and even though i am still young i still watched her on tv and listened to her. She was a great actor and really inspirational singer.
I do not mean to bring tears to anyones eyes for this message as i and belinda would not want that. myself and as alot of people would also know, belinda would want to see use happy.
Happy that even though we can no longer touch & see her but we can stil talk to her knowings shes also in a better place now.
My deepest sympathy for Belinda's family, friends and former husband Mr. McManus.

I am from Ireland and have only recently learned of Belinda's death, I grew up watching her on Home and Away. I always thought of her as such a beautiful, strong person. I can't believe she's gone. I read about her battle with cancer and I find it inspiring and touching. Rove and Belinda seemed like an amazing couple and it is heart-breaking that they're time together was so short. I would like to extend my sincerest sympathies to Rove and Belinda's family. Belinda was a beautiful, inspirational person. She touched the lives of many and will never be forgotten.

on wednesday night when i was out at a club a girl came up to me with a sad smile on her face and told me that i looked exactly like belinda emmett and that when she saw me across the room it made her smile... it was such an honour to receive such a beautiful compliment. this weekend i'm participating in the cancer council's 'relay for life' and i'll be thinking of belinda as i run around the track.

Thinking of Belinda tonight as i was watching the Carols in The Domain as it bought back memories of her brother Shane singing last year, Which was so special and admired him doing it as it would have been so hard for him.

Coming from the Netherlands I had never heard of Belinda Emmett. But after seeing the Australian Story on youtube I figured out exactly who she was. She was an incredibly strong and positive person. She inspired me so much, now knowing that life is too short to worry about silly things. Living my dreams is what I am going to do and thanks to Belinda, I now have the strength to fulfil these dreams without fear of failing. Her positive energy inspired me to live my life differently.
Belinda will live on in people's minds and hearts, for sure.

I did not know Belinda or of Belinda until I typed in Sarah McLachlan. But what I have found is that Belinda is loved by many. I saw the pictures...She has this truthful glow, smile, happiness about her. As the time neared, she still had that impeccably beautiful truthful smile. I try to teach my children about loss. I explain that every person, every soul, every being is on loan. We all belong to to The Lord! When he calls us home. it's time to go with angel wings. For her husband and her family, know that GOD is...Love unto thee...She is at complete peace and admiring the ones who love her. May GOD be with you at this time & always.

I feel so greatly for you and your families. My wife and I were going through a trying time with her illness when the news of Belinda came through. My wife Kayeleen has just recently passed and at this time i realised that it always seems to be (and not trying to sound corny about it) the brightest stars burn out the quickest.
